I like the contract too. Always thought Ennis was a good and versatile 2nd line forward.

Just from yesterday and now official

"Ruhwedel contract: $650K cap hit, two-way for 2014-15 and one-way for 2015-16"

That makes me feel better because we could send him down to Rochester if need be.

On the Reinhart going down thing.. As some have said Murray flat out said that he doesn't think Reinhart has anything else to benefit from playing in juniors. His coach doesn't expect him back either. Unless Reinhart looks lost (which I highly doubt) He will be here next year. People complaining about him not being big enough.. Patrick Kane, Ennis heck even Crosby are all not that big and because they have skill and hockey sense they can make it in this league with some wingers on their sides to back them up. I don't think he goes down. At the most he will go down after tryout but I personally see him and Risto being full time day players with the Sabres next year

Stuff like this happens all the time. He has 6 weeks to get ready for the next rookie camp/traverse city if they are doing that. That's a lot of time to prepare for the next step. He seems to know what he needs to work on already, and I'm sure the trainers will give him a specific plan to follow for the next 6 weeks.

i believe as goose said yesterday, the contract only means he gets paid less if he goes down to rochester. waivers are based on age and number of nhl games played

Sorry for the "pay wall" (like wall?) that cuts it off, but it's a start

We could send him down even on a 1 way contract. He just gets paid more on a 1 way.

Great job guys.....This guy will return a buffalo uniform. Much needed signing.

On a side note I'd love to see Ennis vs. PAVEL DAT. In a puck handling competition. ....Maybe throw Kane in the mix too. I think he'd hold his own...

What are you talking about? That was just a tap. Girgensons was just trying to welcome him to the NHL.

That would be if he has to clear waivers. But even a guy on a 2 way contract could have to clear waivers. That's determined by how many professional games have been played and age.

Yes, and a two-way as well. The only difference between a one-way and a two-way is the level of salary between the NHL and the AHL. All transfer and movement rules are the same.
